I Thought It Was Just Me is an award-winning Canadian video podcast and entertainment series hosted by Jayne Kamara and Shawna Stewart.

The show was created in Toronto, Canada and blends millennial nostalgia, pop culture, humour, music and unfiltered friendship through its original Random Thought Roulette™ format.

Every episode starts with Random Thought Roulette™. Jayne and Shawna discover the topic at the same time as the audience — no pre-read and no rehearsed answer. A single prompt can spiral from childhood TV theme songs to relationships, music, social habits, pop culture or something nobody expected.

The result is a fast-paced, unscripted mix of nostalgia, humour and genuine friendship built around the feeling that usually ends with: “Wait… I thought it was just me.”

Jayne Kamara and Shawna Stewart first met after being cast as best friends in the film Bite of a Mango. Their real-life friendship grew through that experience and later through the Morningside press tour. After repeatedly hearing that their off-camera conversations should become a show, they created I Thought It Was Just Me.

Jayne Kamara is a Canadian actor, storyteller and co-host of I Thought It Was Just Me, known for her understated humour, contagious laugh and perfectly timed one-liners.

Shawna Stewart is a Canadian actor, voice actor, creator, executive producer and co-host of I Thought It Was Just Me, known for animated storytelling, nostalgic hot takes and comedic observations.
